Indian bison chases away Royal Bengal Tiger to save friend; watch

Life of animals in the wild is a constant cycle of survival. Each day comes with a new challenge and opportunity. While predators struggle to hunt for food, prey remain on high alert to avoid the hunters and find shelter. In the wild, animals form social structures, communicate through various means, and rely on instincts honed over generations to navigate their environment. In the wild, every creature plays a vital role in maintaining the delicate balance of nature.

Undeniably, danger approaches unexpectedly and it is quite prevalent in the wild. However, smart animals unitedly shoo away the danger by facing the threat. Even some animals step up to help other animals in danger. Recently, a video surfaced on social media that shows an Indian bison/gaur chasing an adult Royal Bengal Tiger to save its friend from the deadly jaws.

In the video, the big cat is seen in action mode and trying to hunt down a big gaur. The gaur seems to have the least chance to escape from the jaws of death. However, it bravely continues to battle with the Tiger to save its life. The tiger probably tore into the skin of the gaur with its sharp jaws and held it tight with its claws. 

Suddenly, another gaur rushes in to save its friend. The sudden attack left the tiger scared and it ran away leaving its prey behind. However, to ensure the safety of its friend, the gaur chased the Tiger to a distance.

Indian Forest Services (IFS) officer Susanta Nanda shared the video on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "A friend in need… Gaur chase an adult tiger during hunting & saves its buddy." (sic)

The video has gone viral and garnering massive views with each passing minute. Moreover, users have massively liked the incredible footage from the wild and shared their opinions in the comments section.
