Indian weddings are known for a lot of emotional moments, encompassing joyful dances and tearful farewells. Among the myriad emotions, the most poignant is the ‘bidaai’ ceremony, signifying the bride's departure from her parental home to embrace her new life with her husband.

The term 'bidaai' translates to 'farewell,' encapsulating the profound significance of the bride bidding adieu to her parents and maternal family, embarking on a new chapter as a wife and daughter-in-law. This transition is marked by a symbolic gesture during the ceremony, where the bride throws a handful of rice behind her. This act signifies the attempt to repay the immeasurable debt owed to her parents for nurturing and bringing her up.
