Lucky woman gifted lottery by husband for Christmas wins Rs 16.66 crore jackpot

A Christmas gift by husband has made a woman a millionaire overnight in Washington DC. The lottery ticket gift by her husband has won her a $2 million (Rs 16.66 crore) jackpot.

Pamela V received the lottery ticket from her husband as a Christmas gift. To their surprise, the ticket secured them $2 million jackpot.

“We are super elated to find out we won, it’s life-changing. We have kids in college so this will definitely help with college tuition,” said Pamela. She further added that the family had plans to save enough money for their future and also take a Caribbean vacation.

On the other hand, the lottery retailer from whom Pamela’s husband bought the ticket at the Capitol Hill Safeway located at 415 14th Street SE, will also receive a $10,000 commission.
