Social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, and Telegram have incorporated a useful feature that enables users to edit messages, allowing them to correct errors or typos.

This feature has gained widespread popularity, and Instagram recently joined the ranks by introducing a similar capability.

Users on Instagram can now edit their messages within a 15-minute timeframe, and any edited message will be visibly tagged with an 'edited' label within the conversation.

For those wondering how to make use of this editing feature on Instagram, the process is straightforward.

Begin by opening the Instagram app and accessing the chat where you intend to communicate with a friend.

Type your message and send it, and if you notice an error or wish to make changes, simply tap on the message.

A set of options will appear, from which you can select the specific ‘edit’ option.

Click on the edit option, and the message box will reopen, allowing you to make the necessary corrections by typing the updated text.

Once satisfied, click the send button, and the edited message will be delivered to the recipient, clearly marked as 'Edited.'

It is worth noting that WhatsApp, another popular messaging platform, also provides a similar editing window of 15 minutes for users to make adjustments to their messages.
