Apple released iOS 17.1.1 on November 7 to enhance user data protection on Apple devices.

However, some issues have emerged, particularly related to wireless charging when using devices in General Motors (GM) vehicles.

Although the update aimed to address problems faced by BMW users in a similar context, a distinct yet related issue has come up for those using GM vehicles.

According to a Times Now report, users who updated their Apple devices to iOS 17.1 are encountering problems with wireless charging in GM vehicles.

People are reporting that their phones stop charging and freeze after just a few seconds, even after attempting troubleshooting measures such as restarting their devices.

Unfortunately, users have not found a consistent solution to this problem. As of now, there has been no response from Apple's official support.

In BMW models, not only is there a charging problem, but the Near Field Communication (NFC) feature is also disrupted.

On the other hand, in GM vehicles, NFC technology seems unaffected, as per the report.
