Google used to offer a feature called "People Cards," allowing individuals to create profiles on Google Search. This was helpful for users who wanted to showcase themselves online.

When someone searches for your name, your People Card will appear as a profile, providing information about you.

However, Google recently announced that they are removing People Cards from the search engine.

Starting from April 7, 2024, this feature will no longer be available.

In an email sent to everyone registered in People Cards, Google explained that they found the feature was not as useful as they had hoped.

The email stated, "We have learned that this feature wasn't as helpful for people as we hoped. On April 7th, 2024, the People Cards feature will be discontinued. You'll have until May 7, 2024, to download or save your content. After that date, the information will be deleted."

It is important to note that this change only affects People Cards on Google Search and not other Google products or services. Google's Search team assured users that they would send reminders closer to the removal date.

People Cards were initially introduced to make it easier for users to share information about themselves on Google Search, such as websites and social profiles.

However, with this feature being phased out, users will need to find alternative ways to highlight their online presence.
