WTC Final 2023: Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill slammed for enjoying meal after poor performance

Cricketer lovers brutally trolled star batsmen Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan after the trio was spotted enjoying their meal after getting out in the ICC World Test Championship Final between India and Australia at The Oval cricket ground in London.

Twitterati slammed the three batsmen for their poor performance and enjoying their food instead of focusing on the game. With the early dismissal of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, Kohli needed to score big. But, Kohli managed to amass only 14 runs when India were in trouble at 30/2. 

While fans believed that Kohli was back in his form during the IPL 2023, his poor performance in the WTC 2023 final has left them disappointed.

Slamming the cricketers, a Twitter user wrote, “This is Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill chilling and laughing after throwing their wickets and leaving India in trouble in Final of an ICC tournament, but somehow their fans will blame IPL for their bad performances where they clearly don’t seem to care much about Indian cricket team.”

Another user compared Virat, Shubman and Kishan’s picture with the iconic scene from 3 Idiots and wrote, ““There was a huge dilemma: whether to motivate the other batter or to take responsibility and perform on my own. Then, I decided to chuck everything and focus on Matar Paneer."
