Former Team India captain Virat Kohli and his Bollywood actress wife Anushka Sharma have left for England for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final which will be played at The Oval from June 7 -11. India will take on formidable Australia in the all-important match.

Notably, the first batch of Indian players, along with the support staff, left for London in the early hours of Tuesday. The London-bound Indian team is to leave in batches and the congregation of the full squad for the WTC final will happen only by May 30, after the final of the IPL 2023 on May 28.
India will play in the WTC Final for the second time in row. In the inaugural season Kane Williamson-led New Zealand beat India to clinch the maiden title.

Despite Kohli’s scintillating century, his team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were eliminated out of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 following a defeat in a do-or-die match against Gujarat Titans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium Bengaluru on Sunday. It was Kohli’s second ton in IPL 2023.
As of now, Kohli remains the highest run-scorer in IPL history with 7263 runs in 237 matches, including seven centuries and fifty half-centuries. In IPL 2023, he made 639 runs in 14 matches, including two back-to-back centuries and six fifties.
