India are facing formidable Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final at the Oval in London from June 7.

International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the prize pot for the 2021-23 World Test Championship cycle last month. The total prize purse for the marquee competition is $3.8 million. The amount will be shared between the nine teams that featured in the ongoing Test Championship cycle.

The winners of WTC Final 2023 between India and Australia will take home $1.6 million. The runners-up will bag $800,000.

Meanwhile, South Africa, who finished third in the WTC 2021-223 points table, will get $450,000. England who were on the fourth spot will bag $350,000. Sri Lanka, who were among the contenders to finish in the top two till the end, eventually finished fifth. They will take home $200,000.

Remaining squads New Zealand (No.6), Pakistan (No.7), West Indies (No.8), and Bangladesh (No.9) will bag a sum of $100,000 each.

Notably, India were also the finalists in last World Test Championship Final. However, they lost to New Zealand to finish runners-up.
