West Indies tour: Sarfaraz Khan shares cryptic Instagram story after not getting selected in India squad

BCCI has recently announced the Test and ODI squads of the Indian cricket team for the upcoming West Indies tour.

However, many fans and experts slammed BCCI for the non selection of prolific batter Sarfaraz Khan who has been performing brilliantly on a consistent basis in domestic cricket.

Sarfaraz has scored loads of runs in the Ranji Trophy. In the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy season, Sarfaraz amassed 556 runs in six games at an astounding average of 92.66 including three centuries. He had scored a total of 982 runs with an average of 122.75 during the 2021–22 Ranji Trophy season as well. However, he failed to catch the attention of the selectors and seal a place in the squad for the West Indies tour.

Youngsters like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad were selected in the squad on the basis of their performances in the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

Baffled by his non-selection in the Indian Test squad for the West Indies tour, Sarfaraj has shared a cryptic story on his Instagram account.

In the video, Sarfaraz is found playing some scintillating shots with a motivational song being played on the back ground.

Notably, Sarfaraz had a dismal show for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023.
