Rajasthan Royals’ aggressive batter Riyan Parag is currently in the form of his life. He has already garnered a total of 318 runs this season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in as many as seven matches including three half-centuries with an impressive strike-rate of 161.42.

Team India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 is going to be announced soon. As per reports published in some sections of media, Parag is now in the reckoning for a spot in the side for the marquee event.

Parag is a top-order batter and he has hit a purple patch in the current season of Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the question is where would he fit in the India’s T20 squad?

Notably several players like Shivam Dube, Shreyas Iyer and Parag are in the race for the middle order spot in the squad.

Meanwhile, several fans and experts have even raised a question mark over star batsman Virat Kohli’s spot in the squad. As per them, Kohli as an anchor is not required anymore in the squad for the shortest format of the game.

However, as per reports published in some sections of media, the veteran batsman may be selected as an opener in the Indian squad for the marquee event.
