In what comes as exciting news for India and Delhi Capital fans, Delhi Capitals management has confirmed the return of India’s fierce batsman Rishabh Pant in the upcoming IPL season 2024. Pant has been out of the field for over a year after a fatal car accident in December 2022. 

Pant who is currently undergoing treatment in NCA Bengaluru is expected to recover by the end of February. However, Pant's ability to play in IPL matches, nevertheless, would rely on the NCA management giving their approval.

According to reports, Pant will take up his wicket-keeping responsibilities after the BCCI (the Board of Control for Cricket in India) gives the go. If not, the top player would have to limit his role to only fielding and hitting. Delhi Capitals is likely to use as an impact player for in the 2024 Indian Premier League.

Pant who played an integral part in India’s overseas wins over the years has missed the entire IPL Season including the World Cup 2023. Indian team will be eagerly waiting for the arrival of the destructive left-hander wicketkeeper in their side in ahead of India's tour of Australia and many upcoming test series. 

Talking about the IPL Auction, as per reports, 333 players will be going under the hammer in the Auction which takes place in Dubai on December 19.
