Explosive Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant on Friday tweeted two pictures of himself walking with the help of crutches on a bright sunny day.

“One step forward.. One step stronger.. One step better,” Pant captioned the post.

In the pictures, it is found that Pant’s right knee is taped up as he underwent knee surgery after suffering a ligament tear.

Notably, Pant survived a near-fatal accident after his speeding car crashed into a median. The vehicle turned turtle on Delhi-Dehradun highway on December 30. The tragic accident happened when he was heading towards his hometown Roorkee to surprise his mother on New Year.

The flamboyant cricketer returned home from hospital after spending over a month. Pant will undergo another surgery in a month’s time on the injured knee. He was the hero of the last Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He scored an unbeaten 89 to guide India to an improbable victory in Gabba. It was quite unfortunate that he missed out on the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia series due to the accident.

The wicket-keeper batsman is spending time away from the pitch playing ludo as he recovers from the surgery. He is racing against time to get fit for several big tournaments scheduled this year including the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2023.
