Cricket lovers on Saturday were left disheartened after the Asia Cup 2023 match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan was called off due to persistent rain at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
No play was possible after India made 266 as the rain returned. Ishan Kishan played well and scored a beautiful 82 off 81 balls while Hardik Pandya scored 87 out off 90 balls.
However, Virat Kohli fans weren’t too happy as the ace batsman was out quickly for 4 in 7 balls much to the shock of his fans who wished to see him score a century. Now, a video of a Pakistani girl heaping praises on Virat Kohli has gone viral.
The girl, a crazy Virat Kohli fan, chooses the former Indian skipper over Pakistani player Babar Azam. The girl openly tells that she loves Virat Kohli and will choose him over Babar Azam any day. Although, she is surrounded by many Pakistani fans, the girl’s statements show her love for Virat.
Disappointed as the match was called off, the girl said, “I’m a bit upset as Virat Kohli is my favourite cricketer and I wanted him to see score a century. I had come to see the match only for him and see him live.”
“I’m supporting Pakistani also, but I love Virat Kohli,” she further stated.

Meanwhile, a Pakistani fan reacts and asks her to support her own country instead of supporting India.
To this, the girl replies, “Chacha Padosi ko support karna koi buri baat toh nahin hain na (Uncle, supporting your neighbor is not a bad thing).”
