Ramiz Raja
Team India management is doing a lot of permutation and combination in the team composition ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023 to be played in India.
However, former Pakistan skipper Ramiz Raja criticized head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma for tinkering too much with the playing XI.
“India might be a little rusty, they are still searching for the right combination. The one big reason for that is even in the World Cup year, they have not succeeded in producing a settle unit. I am actually shocked that they are tinkering unnecessarily with a winning combination, they experiment with batting order and the focus moves to something else,” said Raza ahead of the high-octane match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan in the ongoing Asia Cup.
“If you ask anyone about Pakistan’s playing XI, he will tell you without much of a thought. But if you ask someone about India’s XI, there are still doubts. And this might benefit Pakistan,” he added.
Wicketkeeper batsman KL Rahul is still struggling with few niggles. Though he is part of the Indian team for the Asia Cup, he will not play the first two matches. However, he is very much in the scheme of things for the team management for the upcoming World Cup. But his injury has compounded the problems for India.
