Pakistani actress Sehar Shinwari made a unique and bold promise ahead of India’s ODI World Cup 2023 clash with Bangladesh on Thursday.

She promised that she would go on a date with a Bangladeshi cricketer if they defeat the Men in Blue today.

She took to social media platform X, where she wrote, “InshAllah my Bangali Bandu will avenge us in the next match. I will go to Dhaka and have a fish dinner date with Bangali boy if their team managed to beat India.”

The Indian cricket team trounced the Pakistani team last Saturday in their match at Ahmadabad in the Cricket World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma's squad won handily by seven wickets. Despite only losing one of their three World Cup games thus far, Pakistan's capacity to compete all the way through the competition has come under scrutiny.

Shinwari believes Bangladesh will exact revenge on India on Thursday, even though Pakistan must now advance to at least the semi-finals in order to play India once more.

India will face Bangladesh in the ICC ODI World Cup at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday.

India's rivalry with Bangladesh may not be as big as the one they share against Pakistan, but it has its own charm. Even after years of battling each other for certain close results, the gulf between India and Bangladesh has only widened.

As far as head-to-head is concerned, India holds a strong record against Bangladesh. The men in blue have outplayed their neighbours 31-8 in 40 encounters (no result: one).
