The World Cup fever has gripped the entire nation with an electrifying showdown between Australia and India captivating the hearts of fans across the city. Families, friends, and colleagues are eagerly immersed in the cricketing spectacle.

The craze for the epic clash has even reached schools. The clash even led a school in Faridabad, Haryana to postpone a Unit Test for Class XI to XII, which was scheduled to take place on Monday, November 20. The school has given relief to students from the exam, citing the World Cup clash.

A notification by the school principal reads, “In view of the IND-AUS ICC Cricket World Cup (final) which is scheduled for 19th November 2023 i.e. Sunday and taking into consideration numerous requests received from the Student Body, the Unit Test for Classes VI to XII which was scheduled for 20th November 2023 i.e. Monday will now be held on 21st November 2023 i.e. Tuesday.” (sic)

“We at DAV-14 Faridabad understand that cricket is a great way to bring families together as it is a game that can be enjoyed by people from all ages and from all walks of life,” the notification further stated.

“While we award you this family time, we hope that you thank the school by performing well in the upcoming examinations. Let’s pray together that the Indian Cricket Team brings home the world Cup 2023,” it concluded.

The notification has been going viral on X after it was shared on the micro blogging site with hilarious reactions from social media users.
