ODI World Cup 2023: Former Pakistan player alleges BCCI of manipulating DRS

A couple of days back, former Pakistani player Hasan Raza had alleged that BCCI and ICC are giving ‘different balls’ to Indian players to help them perform better in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Moreover, Raza has recently brought another allegation against BCCI which broke the internet.

Raza again accused BCCI for manipulating the Decision Review System (DRS). As per Raza, one such manipulation occurred during the Men in Blue’s impressive win against South Africa.

“Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets and gets career best figures in one innings. We are talking about technology when DRS was taken. Van der Dussen was the main batter and how the left-arm spinner’s ball hit the middle stump after being pitched on leg stump. It was impact in line but the ball was heading towards the leg stump,” said Raza during an interview.

“It is indeed being manipulated and it’s quite visible to see that. This was not the first time though. If I speak about Pakistan’s match against South Africa, it was very close during the last wicket of the partnership,” he added.

Notably, Raza’s comment on ‘different ball’ was received with heavy criticism. His former teammate Wasim Akram had slammed Raza (not taking his name) not to insult Pakistan in front of the whole world by giving such silly comments.
