In a leaked video from an IPL 2024 shoot, newly-appointed Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya  is found complaining about the food that he was served during the shoot. The star all-rounder was also seen asking for his chef and nutritionist.

During the shoot, Pandya was served dhokla and jalebi. However, the India all-rounder was very clear that they were not good for his fitness. Although a person tried to convince him, he was adamant that he will not eat the food served to him.

The video has reportedly gone viral over various social media platforms. However, fans are divided over the attitude of the star cricketer. While some fans praised Pandya’s dedication to fitness, others dismissed it as a PR stunt ahead of the competition.

Meanwhile, former India wicketkeeper- batsman Parthiv Patel said that Pandya will be under tremendous pressure while leading Mumbai Indians (MI) in the upcoming IPL. However, he termed his appointment as captain ‘a well thought-out decision’ by the franchise.

“Of course, Pandya’s captaincy is a talking point. The way he led the side (Gujarat Titans), winning the championship in the first year, a last-ball finish in the final next year, it was a great run at Gujarat Titans,” said Parthiv during a recent interaction.

“Hardik has moved on, is now back in Mumbai, where his cricket started. There will be a lot of expectations from MI because the trophy is long due. For MI, qualifying is not a success; it’s about winning championships. That’s something they must have thought, and it seems like a well-thought decision to get him on board, looking at the future,” he added.
