Earlier a day before, Kohli had caused a stir when a video of him refusing to shake hands with former BCCI President Sourav Ganguly went viral over various social media platforms.

Earlier it has been reported that there has been a misunderstanding between Kohli and Ganguly during the latter’s tenure as the BCCI President. Kohli even stepped down from Team India’s captaincy during that period. At that time, rumours were doing rounds that Kohli was forced to take the decision under BCCI’s pressure.
