After pipping Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) just by a single run, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have qualified for the playoff of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

During the match between LSG and KKR at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday, what stole the show was former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir facing the heat from the crowd.

LSG mentor Gambhir, who recently courted controversy after his ugly altercation with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli, was hurled chants of ‘Kohli-Kohli’ by the crowd present at the venue. While walking back to the dressing-room, Gambhir gestured with his hand towards the crowd who were chanting ‘Kohli-Kohli’. Finally, he smiled his way into the restricted zone.

However, it was surprising to see fans teasing Gambhir who led KKR to the IPL title twice in 2012 and 2014.

Notably, Kohli and Gambhir have a history of on-field and off-field fights. Matters first came head-to-head a few years back when Gambhir was leading KKR and Kohli was captaining RCB and the two players exchanged words on the field.
