Yashasvi Jaiswal celebrates his century on Test debut
Legendry cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was all praise for promising batter Yashasvi Jaiswal after the southpaw made a stunning start to his international career.
Jaiswal notched up his maiden Test hundred during the second day of the first Test match against West Indies in Dominica.
The Master Blaster took to Twitter to extend his congratulations to Jaiswal for making a ‘Yashasvi’ start to his Test career.
A यशस्वी start to your Test career, @ybj_19! Well done.👏🏼

The batting icon also praised India captain Rohit Sharma (103, 10x4, 2x6) for reaching his 10th Test ton.
Jaiswal (143 no, 14x4) reached his first-ever century in 215 deliveries. Jaiswal and Sharma collaborated to add 229 runs which became the highest opening partnership for India against West Indies in Test cricket.
Though Sharma was dismissed after reaching his century and Shubman Gill failed in his first outing at the number three position. Jaiswal, on the other end, looked determined and kept on batting with patience.
Meanwhile, former India spinner Pragyan Ojha has said the left-handed opener will now look to dominate the bowlers on the third day.
“Day two was out and out Yashasvi’s day, the way he batted and got his maiden Test 100. On Day three, it’ll be very crucial how he starts because it is not easy for a batter on this kind of tricky track to come on and take on the bowlers. So, as he gets his eyes in, I am pretty sure that he will look to dominate a few bowlers and raise the scoring rate,” said Pragyan.
