Virat Kohli
Team India is fully ready to face West Indies in the first Test at Rouseau from July 12. Former captain and star batsman Virat Kohli has left no stone unturned in his preparation as he is pulling out all stops during the practice sessions.
Ahead of the first Test against West Indies next week, Kohli hit the nets in Barbados. The star batter was looking in sparkling touch against the likes of left-handed speedster Jaydev Unadkat and veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
Kohli seems to have taken a leaf from England’s book as he was seen hitting the ‘Bazball’ mode which is mainly the brand of cricket adopted by England. The star batsman was found practicing his reverse sweeps against Ashwin.
A video clip of the practice session has reportedly gone viral over various social media platforms.

Kohli has failed to live up to his high standards in Test cricket, averaging only 26.5 in six Tests in 2022 and in 2023.
Notably, India have failed to win a Test since their win over Australia in the second Test match by six wickets in Delhi.
On the other hand, West Indies cricket slumped to a new low on Saturday when the two-time champions failed to qualify for the ICC ODI World Cup to be held in India in 2023.
