Former India cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has accused Team India’s veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin of disrespecting him by disconnecting his call.

According to Sivaramakrishnan, he had called Ashwin to wish him for his 100th Test, however, Ashwin didn’t speak to him.

“Tried calling Ashwin a few times to wish hiom for his 100th Test. However, he Just cut off my call. Sent him a message, no reply. That’s the respect we former cricketers get,” said Sivaramakrishnan.

The problem between them started when Sivaramakrishnan called Ashwin a selfish stats player in 2023. He had even accused the authorities of preparing tracks to suit Ashwin’s bowling in India. Laxman also mocked Ashwin’s record in the SENA countries.

Now, Ashiwn has replied to Sivaramakrishnan by not attending his call. Following the development, Sivaramakrishnan lost his cool.

Notably, Ashwin will play his 100th Test when he takes the field in the fifth and final Test against England at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala. The veteran spinner recently completed 500 wickets in red-ball cricket. In the process, he became the second Indian bowler after Anil Kumble to script the milestone.
