A couple of days back Chennai Super Kings(CSK) captain MS Dhoni had shared a mysterious post over social media platforms ahead of the upcoming season of the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL). The post triggered speculation surrounding the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman’s future in the Indian Premier League (IPL) ahead of the new season starting March 22.

Fans and experts are eager to know whether this will be the former India skipper’s final season. Meanwhile, CSK fast bowler Deepak Chahar has jumped into the conversation. As per Chahar, the captain cool can play for two more years. Chahar also said that Dhoni’s performance at the nets show how fit he is at the moment.

“In T20s you retire when you feel 140kmph is extremely fast. Last year, you see how MS Dhoni hit sixes against 145kmph and we see that in the nets as well,” said Chahar on his official YouTube channel.

“Dhoni will play this year. I think he will decide after this season. I personally think he can play for two years,” he added.

Notably, speculation is rife that this season will be Dhoni’s final one as a player. Last year, the 42-year-old mostly came out to bat towards the fag end of CSK innings. CSK began their pre-season training camp on Saturday with the first batch of CSK players landing here a day before.
