During his over hour-long road show, he passed through areas like Masoodabad, Sarai Rahman, Rasal Ganj Crossing, Gandhi Park, Sasni Gate and Hathras Gate.
He then proceeded towards Chharra town in the district where he held another road show.
People carrying Congress flags and garlands greeted him all along the route and the district authorities had to control the crowd at some places.
Addressing a public meeting near Dhorra crossing on the outskirts of the city last evening, Rahul said, "For more than 22 years different non-Congress governments have not succeeded in bringing a single power project in the country`s most populous state. Without roads and electricity, there will be no job opportunity in UP.
"We are asking for an opportunity after 22 years and are happy that the youth of the state are responding to our call," he added.
