Adhira! Prasanth Varma unveils Kalyan Dasari and SJ Suryah in PVCU’s next superhero saga

Tollywood has been buzzing with anticipation ever since Prasanth Varma announced his plans to create an ambitious superhero franchise - the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU). Known for bringing mythological elements into modern storytelling, Varma has now taken the excitement a notch higher by unveiling Adhira. Featuring Kalyan Dasari in the lead role as a superhero Adhira and SJ Suryah as the antagonist, the film marks the next big chapter in PVCU after HanuMan, Jai Hanuman, MahaKali, and an untitled project with Mokshagna Teja.

Adhira Finally Arrives With 'Surprise Lightning Blast'

On Monday, Prasanth Varma made the much-awaited announcement of Adhira with Kalyan Dasari as the superhero and SJ Suryah as the antagonist.

Helmed by Sharan Koppisetty and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under RKD Studios, Adhira is the next superhero flick under PVCU.

Notably, before making the massive announcement, Varma teased the symbol 'A' of superhero Adhira at the centre of his costume.

The announcement has undeniably sparked thrill among the audience, who have been eagerly waiting for the big update.

For the unversed, Adhira was supposed to be the first superhero from PVCU before HanuMan and the makers had even released the teaser. However, it took a backseat, and Teja Sajja was launched as the first superhero under the franchise.

The Power of Thunder

The unique appeal of Adhira lies in its mythological roots. The superhero is said to derive his powers from the Hindu demigod Indra, revered as the deity of thunder and rain. Traditionally depicted astride his white elephant Airavata and wielding the mighty Vajra Astra, Indra’s imagery resonates strongly in the teaser.

The glimpse revealed Adhira harnessing the power of thunder and even holding a Vajra Astra, mirroring Indra’s legendary weapon.
