Pregnant wife beaten to death by husband

Parveen Kaur (32), daughter of Chain Singh of village Garhi Mansowal (Garhshankar) was married with Balcharan Singh, son of Tarsem Singh of village Chhanian about six years ago.

Balcharan Singh and his brother Kashmir Singh were alcoholics and used to beat Parveen Kaur. Meanwhile, Kaur was blessed with two daughters. She again became pregnant and she used to insist her husband to get rid of his bad habit of drinking.

On May 1, 2012 Parveen telephoned his father and told him that Balcharan Singh and Kashmir Singh beat her after consuming liquor.

Yesterday, the deceased`s father Chain Singh was informed by some persons of village Chhanian that his daughter was beaten to death by her husband and brother-in-law. He along with his some relatives immediately rushed to village Chhanian and after reaching there found that the body of Parveen Kaur was lying on the bed in the veranda of her in-laws house. Both the brothers had fled after murdering Parveen Kaur.
