Mumbai: Senior photographer Anant Zanjale`s coffee-table book `Portrait of Wildlife`, which was released at the Mumbai Press Club here recently, has 130 photographs, showing nature in its glory.

Anant, who has been visiting the wildlife sanctuaries in India since 1984, told reporters here that he trekked over 150 kilometers in the jungles of Arunachal Pradesh to shoot its remarkable landscape.

"I intend to reach out to our younger generation, to inspire them to go out and see for themselves the kind of natural wealth we possess, something that will be lost to us forever if we do not help preserve it," he said.

Anand has also published an illustrated `Birds and Mammals of Pakke`, a handbook produced by the Arunachal Pradesh Forest Department, and the `Birds & Mammals of Nilgiri` for the Tamil Nadu government.
