Woman locks up father-in-law, elopes with boyfriend in Bhubaneswar

In a bizarre incident, a woman allegedly locked up her father-in-law in a house and eloped with her boyfriend in Ganganagar area under Airport police station in Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, the woman, identified as Namita, decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs 10 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh in cash while her father-in-law was asleep.

Sandip Nayak, husband of Namita, has lodged a complaint in this regard with the Airport police. Sandip had tied nuptial knot with Namita in February this year, sources informed.

Taking advantage of her husband's absence, Namita packed all gold jewellery, cash and waited for the right time to flee. When she found her father-in-law was asleep, she locked him up in a room and fled with her boyfriend with the valuables. 

When Sandip called up Namita after the incident, she did not receive the calls. 

Namita has an affair with one Raju and she might have eloped with him, Sandip mentioned in his FIR.
