Rourkela-Bhubaneswar-Rourkela Super Fast Inter City Express (22839/22840) from both directions will remain cancelled on 12 December 2022 due to the ongoing doubling work between Talcher Road and Angul in Bhubaneswar/Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur Railway Route of East Coast Railway.

Similarly, Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela Express from Rourkela (18125/18126) will also be cancelled from Rourkela from December 11-13 and from Puri from December 12-14, 2022.

Meanwhile, Amritsar-Visakhapatnam Hirakud Express (22808) from Amritsar will run on a diverted route via Jharsuguda-Rourkela-Chakradharpur-Jaroli-Jakhapura-Cuttack-Bhubaneswar instead of Jharsuguda Road-Sambalpur-Angul-Bhubaneswar on December 10, 2022.

Sai Nagar Shirdi-Puri Express (20858) from Sai Nagar and New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express (20818) from New Delhi will be controlled a few minutes in the route on December 11.

As per ECoR sources, the ongoing doubling work between Talcher Road and Angul in Bhubaneswar/Cuttack-Angul-Sambalpur Railway Route of East Coast Railway is going to be completed at the earliest.

This is a crucial project in Odisha for vital rail link and after completion of this project, the train traffic will be hassle-free on the route.

Once, the project will be completed, this will provide a vital railway link to the presently congested Talcher- Angul section.
