Honey trap accused Archana Nag, who recently walked out of Jharpada jail after 14 months, allegedly received death threats from two unknown miscreants on Friday while she was on her way to appear for an examination in Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, Archana, who is pursuing a law degree, was entering her college when two miscreants appeared and threatened her near the main gate.

“When I got out of my car to appear for my exam, two unknown people came to me and gave death threats to me and my family. Besides, they warned me to frame me once again in a false case to put me behind bars. Some miscreants are also coming near my house. Those people who are doing such activities are only inviting troubles for themselves. I’m not scared of those miscreants and I warn them to come and threaten me on my face,” said Nag.

She added, “The way women are being treated in the state is very concerning. As I have all the evidence, I am being threatened by the miscreants.”

It is to be noted that Nag was accused of extorting money from influential people by blackmailing them with objectionable videos. She was arrested on October 6 last year after her former associate, Shradhanjali Behera had lodged a complaint at the Khandagiri Police Station on October 2, 2022.

Shradhanjali had accused Nag, her husband Jagabandhu Chand, and their associate Khageswar Patra of trapping her in their racket, forcing her to blackmail the bigwigs.
