Passengers travelling on the Howrah-Puri Superfast Express had anxious moments after some coaches reportedly got “separated” allegedly due to some snag in coupling, on late Saturday night. The incident was reported from Nekurseni in West Bengal.

The train, which was heading towards Puri, reached the Nekurseni station when the problem was noticed at around 1:30 am.

Even though the train left some of the coaches behind, no passenger was hurt due to uncoupling, sources said. However, passengers had a harrowing experience following the incident.

Soon after the incident, officials and engineers of Kharagpur division reached the spot and carried out necessary repair works and the train left at around 6:30 am today.
