The Indian Railways is all set to offer a variety of facilities to the passengers travelling in 3 AC economy coaches. The move promises to provide affordable air-conditioning travel to people in its latest advance 3 AC economy coaches.

The Indian Railways informed that the passenger capacity in these coaches has been increased to 83 berths from existing 72 berths.

Similarly, the passengers will get enhanced features like modular design seats, individual vents of AC for all berths. In a tweet, the Indian Railways informed that the coaches will also have Close Circuit Television Cameras (CCTVs), foldable snack tables and divyang friendly toilets.

The Indian Railways have been coming up with new features and coaches to provide world-class facilities and travel experience to the passengers across the country.

 

 

Already several measures have been undertaken by the Railways to make travel of passengers more safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Delhi division of the railways has undertaken a special technology driven disinfection in compartment area in coach.

The division is now using robots to disinfect coaches using ultra violet rays. For the first time, such technology is under observation in 02004 New Delhi-Lucknow Shatabdi Express. To prevent the spread of pandemic, Delhi Division has started "Technology driven Disinfection through UVC Robots" having UVC light for 100 percent disinfection of compartment area in coach, tweeted the Ministry of Railways.
