UGC-Approved Online Refresher Course: Odisha Govt Releases Guidelines, Check Details The Higher Education department of Odisha has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with HRDC, Savitribai Phule Pune University for conducting UGC approved online refresher course for government college teachers.
The online refresher course in different subjects is crucial for career enhancement and upgradation of knowledge of teachers. The registration process has already begun for the UGC approved refresher course from September 1, 2021.
The last date for registration is September 15, 2021.
In a letter to principals of all Degree Colleges, the Higher Education department has stated that the refresher course is being launched on an experimental basis.
If online refresher course runs well, it will be extended to aided college teachers in the State.
Guidelines for online refresher course:
-No registration fee to be paid by the participating teachers in the refresher courses.
The Higher Education department will bear the entire cost of these refresher courses.
-The teachers have to register themselves for the refresher course.
-Teachers have to complete the registration process by filing in profiles and information required.
-The teachers can select the subject on his/her subject specialization and complete the application process.
-After the registration process is complete, the Higher Education department will select maximum 50 teachers for each course, out of total list of applicant teachers.
-While selecting teachers for the refresher course, priority will be given to teachers who have not attended any fresher course or attended very few refresher courses in their service period.
-The refresher course will be of 72 contract hours.
-The online refresher courses can be attended by the teachers either from their home or college as per their convenience. The online session will be conducted in interactive mode or online mode.
-If a selected teacher fails to attend the refresher course without any valid reason, the cost incurred by the Higher Education department for the course will be recovered from the teacher concerned.
