Watch: Bear Intrusions Into Residential Areas Raise Concern In Odisha Districts

Panic gripped the residents of Gobindapalli in Malkangiri after two wild bears were spotted roaming in the residential areas adjacent to a hospital in the locality.

As per reports, the bears strayed into Gobindapalli from the nearby hills and roamed around the small town on Friday night. It became particularly frightening after they went close to the hospital having patients, their relatives, medics and other staff.

Similarly, in another incident three wild bears were seen roaming in Khairapadar village under Sinapali Police limits in Nuapada on Saturday morning.

Locals were in for a surprise after the day broke when saw the three giant bears roaming the streets.

Two of them ran away into the woods after locals upped efforts to shoo them away, but the other one climbed up a tree and remained there for quite some time.

The forest officials reached the spot after being informed by the villagers and rescued the bear from the tree.
