Barmer: A senior VHP leader on Friday said Lokpal Bill is important but the legislation alone can not root out corruption and asserted that active role of common man is needed to fight the menace.

"While it is important to turn the Lokpal bill into a law to fight against corruption, a mere legislation would not help. Common man should stand up and raise his voice against corruption," Vishwa Hindu Parishad international general secretary Pravin Togadia said.

He also expressed his concern over the rising number of madrassas along the international borders of India terming it as a "threat to the Hindutva".

"The number of madrassas along the international borders has mushroomed in the past few years," Togadia said.
