The State Police Headquarters, Odisha has released an advertisement to fill up the vacant posts of Assistant Section Officers (ASO) on contractual basis through walk-in-interview. 

As many as seven vacant posts of ASO will be filled up for a period of one year on contractual basis as OSD or till the vacancies are filled up, whichever is earlier. 

However, only retired police ministerial officers in the rank of ASO/SO of DGPO Cadre and Administrative Officer/Establishment Officer of HoD Common Cadre (having experience of working earlier as ASO/SO in police department) are eligible to apply for the posts.

"This engagement will be as per terms and conditions laid down in the guidelines relating to engagement of retired Government servants," the official advertisement read.  

"The engagement shall be made in transparent manner for 01 (one) year initially. The performance of the officers is to be reviewed periodically and documented at least once in a quarter," the advertisement added.

As per the advertisement, the monthly remuneration of the selected person will be fixed as per notification of the finance department issued on 17.03.2018.

Candidates interested to be re-engaged are required to submit the prescribed format duly filled in along with a passport size photograph at the time of interview to the Inspector General of Police (Personnel), Odisha, Cuttack on the scheduled date and time.

The walk-in-interview will be held at 11.30 am on July 13. The application form and related government resolutions are available on the official website www.odishapolice.gov.in.
