When we cut an onion, it brings tears to our eyes but we get immense benefits from its consumption. By just putting a slice of onion each in socks before going to sleep, you will get tremendous health benefits starting from purifying your blood to removing toxins to killing germs. 

Sounds interesting! Here are the Steps to be Followed: 

  • Take an onion and cut it into slices.
  • Wash your feet and wipe them thoroughly.
  • Put on a pair of clean socks.
  • Place two onion slices into your socks and make sure that they are under your feet.
  • Go to sleep and remove the socks the next morning.

This will help detox your body, enhance blood circulation and hydrate the body.

Why Under the Feet? 

It is well-known fact that the nerves and veins of our body end in feet. It is believed that the slices of onion when placed under the feet help detox the body.  

For those who have smelly feet, the above-mentioned method works amazingly. Onion contains Sulphuric compounds which makes it a bacteria and germ killer. Regular use of onion slice will help do away with smelly feet. 

Besides being used in preparing dishes, onion is also consumed raw. Row onion consumption is believed to help reduce the sugar level in the body and the risk of heart attack. It contains an antioxidant called quercetin that helps cure diabetes and lower sugar level.
