Aliens are a mystery to mankind. While the UFO sightings have always triggered a lot of interest, even today there is not much that we know about them.

Movies, television serials, and documentaries on UFOs have provided information about various incidences and interviews with people who have seen UFOs but even then all of them to date have remained unexplained and unbelievable.

On World UFO Day today, here are a few such out-of-this-world stories that continue to keep the interest in UFO s and aliens among humanity intact.

The Rendlesham Forest UFO sighting

The sighting at the UK’s Rendlesham Forest was reported in late 1980. The Royal Air Force military base is located here near the east coast of England. On December 26, two United States Air Force members saw that lights were falling to Earth at around 3 a.m. in the Rendlesham Forest. When the servicemen entered the forest to probe the matter further they came across a metallic object that kept on giving lights simultaneously moving around.

Incidentally, the local police who arrived later on did not see anything apart from a light coming from the lighthouse but they did see some markings near the reported site.

An investigation carried out by more servicemen a few days later revealed that there were three bright lights in the sky that continued to shine for long hours. No one knows what happened to the metallic object or whether the bright lights were stars or something else.

Los Angeles has reported maximum UFO sightings

Los Angeles in the US has reported the maximum number of sightings of UFOs in the world. Most of these incidents occurred between 2001 and 2015. The sightings in Los Angeles that occurred during World War II in February 1942 involved a military attack that was very unusual.

It was the time when the historic attack on Pearl Harbour had already taken place and the military units alongside the Californian coast were preparing for Japanese raids.

On the morning of February 25, the soldiers spotted an aircraft that could not be identified. The radar reported that the aircraft was 120 miles West of LA and later on disappeared. Despite mass air raids, citywide blackouts, and searchlights the aircraft could not be traced.

What followed this incident was mass chaos with reports of people seeing unidentified flying objects around LA landing in the police departments.

As a result, there were a lot of car accidents and at least 5 civilians died due to heart attacks. At that time it was thought that the aircraft was from the enemy like Japan or Germany.

However, that was not the case and since then multiple such UFOs have been sighted around Los Angeles and to date no one has any explanation for it.
