Known for releasing movie on Eid, superstar Salman Khan in a rare move has released Tiger 3 on Diwali that too on a Sunday. The advance booking of the movie got a bumper response with final advance booking expected to be around Rs 23 crore with over 8.50 lakh tickets being sold.
Going by the numbers, trade analysts expect the much-awaited movie to earn around Rs 40 crore in India on its first day which is very less as compared to Pathaan. While Rs 40 crore is record-breaking for the festive day of Diwali, Pathaan had collected Rs 57 crore on day 1 in India.
If the word of mouth of Tiger 3 is positive, nothing can stop the film to create havoc at the box office. Directed by Fan and Shuddh Desi Romance fame director Maneesh Sharma, Tiger 3 is the third installment of the Tiger franchise and also has Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles.
