The Kapil Sharma Show is expected to go off the air soon. However, the break will be temporary and the comedy show will return after a gap of a few months. Incidentally, the show is not going off the air because of low ratings or any issues with the channel, but, because Kapil Sharma will soon go on a month-long tour of Canada and the USA in mid-June this year.
The standup comedian shared the tour details on his social media handle some time ago and it will be his first standup act outside India post the Corona pandemic.

Hence, he will not be available for the shooting. That is the reason why the team of The Kapil Sharma Show decided to take a break. However, the fans will get to see a few more episodes because the team has decided that they will pre-shoot a few episodes before the comedy show takes a break. There are no official updates as to how long the break will be but it is expected to be a short one.
Apart from The Kapil Sharma Show, Kapil also wants to try out different platforms and roles as an actor. His Netflix debut, “I’m Not Done Yet” showed the comedian in his real avatar where he candidly laid down his life in front of the audience. It received a very good response from its fans. Now he is currently working on a project with Nandita Das in which he is playing the role of a food delivery man.

So, with a tour in the US and an OTT project in the works, Kapil Sharma is quite busy these days. Recently, he was also in the news when he was slammed by the social media users for allegedly not allowing the team of The Kashmir Files to promote their movie on his platform. However, the matter settled down after clarification from Anupam Kher during an interview on national television.
