Soorarai Pottru fame Aparna Balamurali is a well-known actress down South. The dusky beauty has carved a niche for herself with back-to-back hit movies in a short span of time.

She is reportedly getting offers from all the southern industries and has a busy schedule. Recently, the south siren was in Kerala for the promotion of her upcoming film Thankam.

As part of the promotion, the actress visited a college and attended an event. Videos of the event have been going viral ever since. However, another clip of the event is grabbing eyeballs online, but for the wrong reason.

A video shows Aparna sitting on the dais along with other guests when a student comes to the stage and hands over a flower to her. Before she can react, the student holds the actress by her hand and asks her to stand up for a picture. When the actress stands up, the student tries to wrap his hand around the actress.

Feeling uncomfortable, Aparna moves away from him following which the student immediately apologised to her with folded hands and left the stage. Although the actress kept her smiling face, netizens were furious as college authorities and other crew members present on the stage did not stop the inappropriate behaviour.

“There are social conventions to be observed in public so that incidents like this do not happen. It’s happening much too often all over the country. Our education authorities please take note,” commented a user.

Another user commented, “One should not cross their limits, surprisingly none of the film personalities come to her rescue and condemned the incident. Very unfortunate.”

However, many social media users pointed out that the student was star-struck and had no bad intentions.

“Hand on the shoulder to take a photo is misbehaving? What if a girl does the same thing? Then it's cute sweet? I saw many videos that girls just take liberty and hug male actors,” commented a user in the student’s defence.

Another user commented, “That’s no misbehaviour, the lady stepped aside and he realized his mistake. What would be the reaction if it was a female student and male actor?”
