  • Samantha Ruth Prabhu's acceptance to do an item song has triggered discussions.
  • Many believe that she is defying her words said earlier regarding picking up roles only for satisfaction.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu will soon start shooting for an item number in Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna-led Pushpa: The Rise. In her career span of more than a decade, Sam did all types of roles from romantic to glamorous but refrained from doing an exclusive item song for any movie. While most of her contemporaries like Tamannaah Bhatia and Kajal Aggarwal did groove to raunchy and foot-tapping numbers to increase their popularity and get that extra paycheck, Samantha simply never showed any interest in such assignments.

Rather, years ago, Samantha had said that she would pick up only those movies that will offer her job satisfaction and will contribute towards making her an excellent actor with each character she plays. The Tollywood actress had said that she would like to do movies that will help her develop as a good actor and not just for more money.

Samantha has always maintained that making her family feel proud of her work is her top priority and that is why she will always give preference to the roles that will make her family proud. But her recent few choices have made her fans wonder whether the Oh! Baby actress is defying the words that she had said earlier.

Her role in The Family Man Season 2 was indeed tough but it also included hot scenes which was a big surprise for many Samantha fans. Now, her decision to dance to an item song has also shocked a few of her die-hard fans. Reportedly, she is being paid Rs 1.5 crore for this item number which is quite huge considering that she has to work for only a few days to get such a hefty paycheck.

She has already started gearing up for the song and the shooting of the same will begin at the end of this month. So, is Samantha doing it all for money or does she wants to explore different genres as an entertainer?
