Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is one of the much-awaited movies. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol and Yash as Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lord Hanuman and Demon King Ravana, respectively. While the makers are yet to make an official announcement regarding the movie and its ensemble cast, reports have been abuzz that the cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic will be a three-part movie. However, the latest report suggests something else.

As per the latest report, Ramayana will be a two-part saga. Further, the report also suggests that the makers have planned for a simultaneous shoot of 350 days with Ranbir, Sai, Yash and Sunny.

An exclusive report by Pinkvilla suggests that the magnum opus is not a trilogy and it will be a two-part film. According to the report, a close source to the development revealed that Nitesh Tiwari and his team are shooting for Ramayana as a two-part film.

The report quoted the close source as saying, "Given the scale and magnitude of the film, the makers have opted for a two-part approach to tell the story. While most in the business await the results of part one before taking the second one on floors, Ramayana will be shot simultaneously."

Notably, the shooting of Ramayana has already kicked off in March. Reportedly, several pictures of the set and actors, including Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, stormed the internet. Following the picture leaks, Tiwari imposed a strict rule of No-Phone Policy on the shooting set. Moreover, the set is covered to prevent any such leaks in future.

The source also revealed that a major chunk of part two will be shot even before the release of part one.

Further, the source informed the portal that Tiwari and his team have chalked out a 350-day shooting schedule for the two parts of the magnum opus. The planned schedule includes combined scenes of the extended star cast as well as their solo sequences. Both parts of the Ramayana film will be released in a year, the source added.

Furthermore, the source revealed that Tiwari and DNEG have plans to conclude the shooting of both parts by the end of 2025. The post-production work will be carried out simultaneously with the shooting of the films. The schedules have been planned in back-to-back format to maintain consistency in the looks of the actors.

The source further revealed that the makers have planned to make an official announcement of its release soon after wrapping the shooting of the first part.

The report also suggests that the makers will be making an official announcement of Ramayana shortly with a big audio-visual asset. Moreover, DNEG, reportedly, is also developing a spin-off, which could serve as the third part of the franchise in the future timeline.

Well, fans need to wait for an official statement from the makers or the actors, backing the reports.
