Nitesh Kumar Sahoo

Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is one of the much-awaited flicks. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil and all other actors in the magnum opus. Though the makers are yet to make an official statement regarding the movie and its ensemble cast, the shooting has already kickstarted in Mumbai. Now, reports suggest that the movie's title may not be Ramayana. Even some other reports claim that The Kerala Story actress Sonia Balani is roped in to play a pivotal character.

Not Ramayana! The movie's title is God Power?

As per the latest reports, the working title of the movie is 'God Power.' Well, there is no official statement backing the claims.  Further, according to the reports, the shooting will take a lot of time as Ramayana aka God Power is a planned trilogy. Thus, Ranbir will prep for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love and War with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal while continuing to shoot for the cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic.

News 18 quoted a close source to the development as saying, "Ranbir will continue shooting for Ramayana and begin the prep for Love And War in the second half of August or early September simultaneously. While Alia Bhatt will get busy with filming YRF’s upcoming spy thriller with Sharvari Wagh, Ranbir will dive into script reading sessions and discussions with Bhansali before beginning its shoot."

Further, the source added, "Bhansali, in fact, will begin Love And War with him as the latter may reach the conclusion of the shoot of the first part of the Ramayana trilogy by November. The shoot of Love And War will begin in Mumbai but a set for the same is yet to be constructed.”

Sonia Balani to play...

Meanwhile, the Times of India, in its exclusive report claims that Nitesh Tiwari has roped in The Kerala Story actress Sonia Balani as Urmila. She has been paired opposite Ravi Dubey, who is reportedly essaying Laxman's character in the magnum opus.

Notably, Sonia is known for her television background and Ravi also is a popular face on the small screen. Ravi and Sonia's collaboration marks the fusion of the talented duo from the television industry.

TOI quoted a close source to the development as saying,  "Sonia Balani and Ravi Dubey have already begun shooting for their parts at a studio in Mumbai."

For a couple of days, reports were abuzz that trouble for Nitesh Tiwari and Ramayana escalated after a legal dispute between the primary production banner with another production house over incomplete payments.

Even, a few reports claimed that Yash might not play Demon King Ravana's character after collaborating with Ramayana as co-producer. However, the latest reports claim that the KGF actor will essay Ravana's role and will kick off the shooting schedule in London soon.

Fans seem to be quite excited to see Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol and Yash as Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Hanuman and Ravana, respectively. After a few photographs of Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi adorned in costumes and makeup surfaced on social media, the makers imposed strict rules on the set No-Phone policy to prevent any such untoward incident.

Hopefully, the makers will soon make an official announcement regarding the movie and its star cast.
