Millennium star Amitabh Bachchan's grandson and Shweta Nanda's son Agastya Nanda made his acting debut with 'The Archies.' Ever since then, speculations have been rife about Navya Naveli Nanda's acting debut. While admirers are eagerly waiting to hear about her debut, recently, Shweta rebuked the speculations and said 'Bollywood is not the right place for her.'

Recently, reacting to the rumours surrounding Navya's BTown debut, Shweta firmly said no. Expressing her views during the event in Mumbai, Shweta said, "I am here to represent my daughter, and I am very excited for her and proud of her. I am thrilled to be here to collect the award on her behalf.”

Receiving the Best Female Podcaster Award on her daughter's behalf, Shweta proudly shared about her daughter's talent.

She said, "I think it is wonderful, it is a great way of reaching out to people. You can carry it wherever you go, you can listen to it on a train or a bus. I think it is a fantastic and wonderful medium of getting your word across."

When asked about Navya's plans for Bollywood entry, Shweta said, “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does and she has her hands full. I don't think Bollywood is the way to go for her."

Earlier, Navya even had cleared the air that she is not interested in acting. During an old interview with Hindustan Times, Navya was quoted as saying, "Well, I also come from a business family too. So, I was very clear that (I don’t want to join acting and do this). At the end of college, I realised that this is what I wanted to do.”

For the unversed, Navya has been busy creating her own identity by choosing a path away from Bollywood. Her father Nikhil Nanda is a businessman, Navya has also been actively working towards various social causes including women empowerment, gender equality and social justice.
