Jawan pre-release event: Why was Nayanthara absent? Know reasons

Nayanthara, the leading lady of "Jawan," was reportedly absent from the pre-release audio launch event in Chennai while the rest of the cast, including Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Sanya Malhotra, attended the event.

According to reports,  Nayanthara is known for not participating in film promotions due to a reported no-promotions clause in her contract.

She prefers to maintain her privacy and let her work speak for itself. There were speculations that her absence might have been due to Onam celebrations.

Nayanthara's husband and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan recently shared pictures from their Onam celebrations. He shared pictures of their sons Uyir and Ulagam celebrating Onam.

Whether she will promote "Jawan" in the future or not remains uncertain.

The audio launch event was successful and generated significant buzz for the film, with Shah Rukh Khan impressing everyone by speaking in Tamil and dancing to the song "Zinda Banda" with singer Anirudh.

The team, including director Atlee and editor Ruben, praised Shah Rukh Khan for making the event a successful promotional endeavour.

Tamil actor and Superstar Kamal Haasan also came live at the event to give best wishes to the Jawan team.

“SRK is an icon of love for India. I want this film to succeed. I’m so happy for Atlee,” said Kamal Haasan.

Shah Rukh Khan was also seen shaking a leg with Priyamani on their famous song One, Two, Three, Four from Chennai Express.
