Every aspiring actor wants to work with the YRF banner. But Bhumi Pednekar first worked as an assistant with Abhimanyu Ray for casting films like Chak De India, Teen Patti, and Rocket Singh: Salesman of The Year. Later on, she joined Shanoo Sharma as assistant director. All through this time she was working with YRF but it took her a lot of time to get a breakthrough as an actor.
Despite being an employee of YRF, she had to audition for her debut movie for two and a half months. And even after that, director Sharat Katariya called her multiple times for an audition and only after that she was confirmed for the role of Sandhya.

During one of her interviews, the Toilet: Ek Prem Katha actress revealed that she gained more than 20 kg in the course of more than a year for her debut movie. She weighed 90 kg at the time and had to lose all that extra weight after the shooting was completed.
The one thing that she loves to indulge in is makeup. She has always been fascinated by skin care and makeup and started using makeup at the age of 13. Bhumi had a special vanity bag when she was a teenager and since her parents never encouraged it, she saved to buy makeup products.
