Don 3 confirmed! Farhan Akhtar finishing script for Shah Rukh Khan-starrer

The third installment of Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Don Franchise is finally happening. The action-thriller to be helmed by director-producer-actor Farhan Akhtar is currently in the scripting stage. 

Recently, producer Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan’s partner at Production Banner Excel Entertainment, confirmed the much-anticipated movie Don 3. However, he further clarified that he is not aware of the plot details.

PTI quoted Ritesh as saying, "Till my partner (Farhan Akhtar) finishes writing it, we won’t do anything. Right now, he is in the phase of completing the script. Even all of us are eagerly waiting to see Don.”

Excel Entertainment bought the rights of Don starring Amitabh Bachchan in dual roles, written by Salim-Javed and directed by Chandra Barot and remade it with SRK and Priyanka Chopra with the same title. 

Last year, when BigB shared a picture in which he was seen signing an autograph on his Don poster while SRK was seen kneeling beside him, it sparked a buzz that both BigB and SRK might share the screen in Don 3. Even, certain media reports claimed that both the Dons will be seen together. However, there are no official confirmations backing the claims. Fans need to wait for the same.

On the other hand, reports are abuzz that scripting for Don 3 is under process since 3-4 years. It’s been over a decade since the release of Don 2 (2011) and fans are waiting for the third installment with high expectations. As it seems, the long wait will end soon once Farhan is done with the scripting.
